We Won!!!!

As you can see by the title, we beat Republic last night and are officially in the State Playoffs!! We travel back to Webb City on Wednesday and have great hopes of beating them this time! We are so excited. It has been 10 years since we have been in the playoffs so this is a big thing for our family and we are celebrating hard! I am so proud of my dad for sticking it out and for all of his hard work and dedication. I am also praising God today for blessing him with a much needed incredible season! He deserves it so much.

Kaylor is 2!

I am somewhat sad to say that my baby niece turned 2 on Sunday and is growing up so fast! We celebrated her birthday at the Springfield zoo and had cake and presents in the pavillion afterwards. It was a blustery day full of fun! Here are a few pictures from Sawyer's first zoo experience.

The Hopes are Still Alive

If you haven't heard, the Branson Pirates won big Friday night when they beat McDonald County 49-14! We play at Republic on Thursday and if we win we are in the State Playoffs!! Woo hoo!! I will let you know the outcome on Friday! :)

Bummer

Unfortunately I do not have good news to report about the game last night. We lost to Neosho after playing a sloppy game. If we win the next two we will still get in the playoffs, but this was not how we wanted to start Districts. Hopefully the boys can get their groove back together before next Friday! I am hoping for the best!

Fun Stuff

Sawyer had his 6 month check up this morning and I am happy to report that everything was good. His weight is only in the 25th percentile so we are going to try to get him a little more excited about eating, but other than that everything is great!
Sawyer had a fun night last night watching his cousin, Kye, play football and then going home and experiencing his first "big boy bath!" He absolutely loved playing in the water and he actually got a little sad when it was time to get out. I think we might have a swimmer on our hands!
Tonight the Pirates play at home against Neosho and we are hoping for another win! This is the first game of Districts so this is when the season really gets exciting as the hopes of getting in the playoffs hopefully become a reality. Go Pirates!!

Here is a video of his fun bath experience and some other fun recent pictures.

Better luck next time

Sorry to report that the Branson Pirates did not pull off a win Friday night against Webb City. But we are still so proud of the team and know that they will go on to have a very successful season any way! Webb City is a very intimidating place to play and I think the nerves got the best of us. Maybe we can meet back up with them in the playoffs and beat them then!! One good thing that came out of the game was that Sawyer, Nanny, Stacy, Kaylor, and Kloey had a couple of seconds of fame by making the news footage of the game! I have included the link to the video below. Sorry you will have to watch highlights from a couple of other games before it gets to ours. We are excited for our last home game this Friday and have full confidence that the Pirates will put this loss in the past and be ready to play Neosho!

6 Months and Counting

We celebrated Sawyer's 1/2 birthday yesterday and we can't believe he is already 6 months old! Time sure does fly when you are having fun, and we sure are having a lot of fun with this little guy! Sawyer enjoyed his milestone by watching his daddy play softball and eating vegetables for the first time....yummy carrots! (not quite as fun as cake and presents, but he can wait another 6 months for that) We did let him pick out a new toy at Wal-Mart, which basically consists of me holding up some toys and waiting to see if he smiles when he sees any of them. When he does I know that is the toy to purchase! :) He picked out a fun new gadget to play with on his car seat. Those long rides to Friday football games can get pretty boring without fun things to play with. He will test it out well tonight as we travel to Webb City. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a victory to blog about! Go Pirates!

Current Ranking

After 6 weeks of total domination on the football front, the Branson Pirates are ranked #7 in the state! It is not bad, although we feel that they should be ranked higher. I bet when we beat Webb City Friday it will shoot up there!! They are currently ranked #3, so a Friday win could sure help us out in more ways than one!

Restoring the ROAR in the house that Hancock built!!

Well, you may not believe it but it is true. The Branson Pirates are 6-0 and they beat the top ranked team in the state last night 29 to 12!!!! I think it has been since 1998 when I saw my dad so excited after a football game. And Chris and I were pretty excited too! I am so proud of my dad for sticking it out and so happy for his success. He deserves it more than anyone I know!! It was an incredible atmosphere last night at Pirate stadium and an even more incredible game! Here is a link to a video about the game and some pictures from the exciting evening. More to come next Friday as we travel to Webb City to stomp those Cardinals!
