Our gift to Nanny

This year we decided to get a family photo made for my mom for Christmas. Here are a few of the best pictures from our photo session. She loved them!

Santa Came!

Sawyer was so proud to be leaving milk and cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Santa made it to our house and Sawyer is thoroughly enjoying his new toys! Here are a few highlights from Christmas day.

America's Favorite Dancer

The other night we watched So You Think You Can Dance and they crowned "America's Favorite Dancer." I must say that they got it wrong. America's Favorite Dancer lives in our house and his name is Sawyer!
Check out these new moves.

Jolly St. Nick

Well it seems the time has come for Sawyer to be scared of the big man in the red suit. He had dinner with him the other night and when it came time to sit on his lap, well, these pictures speak for themselves. We will try again next year!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The tree is up, front porch full of lights and garland, presents bought, what a fun time of year! I can't wait to see how Sawyer reacts to Christmas this year. He is going to be so fun! This past month has been very eventful! We celebrated Chris's 30th birthday with a weekend trip to Kansas City. Sawyer had his first sleepover at Aunt Barb and Uncle Doug's and we got to go on a date with our best friend, Ang, and her boyfriend. It was a great time! This past weekend we made another trip to KC and boy was it fun. We ended up purchasing a car on Saturday morning after 6 months of looking. We bought a 2005 Honda Pilot and it is perfect for us! We then headed to Crown Center, out to lunch, and then settled in at Barb and Doug's for an evening of football watching. Sawyer was very entertaining and in the words of Barbara, "quite a hoot!" What is new? Sunday we headed to the cold Chiefs game and watched them get stomped by the Broncos to the great delight of my sister and Eric! It was still fun even though they lost. :)
We finished off the weekend with dinner at Jack Stack and then a drive home in my new car! So fun!

Sawyer just keeps growing and growing and growing! He is getting so tall and is starting to look more like a boy and less like a baby each day. He is really talking up a storm and can pretty much tell us anything he wants. He seems to learn a new word each day. His current obsession is Melmo (elmo) and Marney (barney). He can't get enough!

I tried to get some cute pictures of him for our Christmas card, but am not completely satisfied yet. Here are a couple of decent ones.

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. I can't wait to blog about our Christmas experiences this year!
