Winning is fun!

The great Pirate football season continues! We won big on Friday against Willlard, 56 to 21! It is so fun to win!

Here is my funny Sawyer story of the week:
The other night Sawyer was in one of his jabbering moods and he was talking a mile a minute and we couldn't understand a word he was saying. We let this go on for awhile and then finally Chris said, "Sawyer, what are you talking about?" Sawyer quickly replied, "I don't know!" It was was hilarious the way he said it with such clarity. We laughed about it for a long time and then he went back to speaking his own "Sawyer" language! :)

M-I-Z, Z-O-U!

We went to our first MU game this weekend and had a blast! It was a huge win and tons of fun!

Go Tigers!!!

Bat Boy

Sawyer has become quite good at battting. We even bought him his first T-Ball Set this weekend. Here is a video of his first attempt. Maybe we see baseball in his future?

Sawyer's Best Friends

Sawyer loves his doggies! Here are a couple of cute videos of him loving on Rocky and Barbie...

Boy Band

Sawyer and Chris have started their own boy band in our living room! They have had tons of fun drumming, singing, dancing, and playing the piano lately. Watch out, you might see them on tour in a town near you soon! :)

Are you proud to be a Pirate? Yes We Are!

The Pirates have started out the season with a bang! They are 3 and 1 after Fridays stomping of Marshfield! The 1 loss was a hard one, but the team bounced back and came back ready to win the next week. We are excited to see what they can do for the rest of the season!
Sawyer has enjoyed the games more than we thought he would. He LOVES cheering and seeing his PaPa on the field after the game!

UPDATE!!!

Wow, it has been over a month since my last post! Life has been crazy busy in Wilks world, but it is starting to slow down now, thank goodness! This past month has been full of a lot of working, playing, and football games. Sawyer loves going to his PaPa's football games on Friday nights. He cheers through the entire game! He shakes the cowbell and clacker as well as anyone else in the stands! He is running around non stop and getting into anything and everything. His personality just gets more defined daily and there is never a day that goes by that he doesn't do something to make us laugh and smile. He is truly a joy!
On the other hand, he has starting throwing small temper tantrums lately which shows us that the "terrible twos" are right around the corner! His first one happened last week at Chris's softball game. He wanted to play with someone's baseball bat and I wouldn't let him because it wasn't ours. He threw himself down and started screaming and kicking. I literally carried him kicking and screaming all the way to the car! His daddy had to have a little talk with him to get him to calm down and go to bed that night. That was definitely not our favorite night, but we got through it and all learned from the experience. Thankfully, these tantrums are few and far between and most of the time he is simply a healthy and happy little boy!
Sawyer is growing tall and learning so many new tricks. He is talking a lot, but we just don't always understand what he is saying! All this to say, life is good at the Wilks household! We are excited about a great start to the Pirate football season and are looking forward to a great fall in Branson.
