May Update

As you might have noticed, I haven't posted an update for anything happening in the month of May! It has been a busy month. We had to say a very sad goodbye to our precious Granny (Chris's Grandmother) on May 11 and spent a lot of time with family that week. I attended my 10 year high school reunion and had so much fun catching up with old friends. We took a trip to St. Louis for Sawyer's first Cardinals game. He didn't enjoy it as much as we hoped he would...maybe next year! He just wanted to get down on the dirty ground and crawl around. He and I did a lot of "strolling" around the stadium throughout the game. He eventually fell asleep and slept through a couple innings!

You wouldn't even believe how much Sawyer is growing. It seems like he learns new words every day. His most recent ones are "love you" and "hey you". He is still really enjoying his babysitter's house and is excited when I drop him off each morning. Yesterday he even tried to push me out the door so he could go play! He still isn't walking on his feet, but he will walk all around the house on his knees! I have no doubt that he could walk, he just chooses not to! He has become quite the cheese ball as you can see from some of the pictures below. Now when I hold the camera up he does this cheesy smile and closes his eyes...not sure where he learned that but it cracks us up! Chris is working a lot with kamp starting next week so Sawyer and I are spending some good quality time together in the evenings. Starting next week I move to 4, 10 hour work days so that will give me an extra day each week with Sawyer! I will just miss out on some of the evening activities that I usually do with him. I think it will be fine, just a change that I have to get used to for the summer. I can't think of anything else going on in our lives. We are just working and playing like always!

This picture is from the Branson Air Show. Sawyer had a lot of fun until the show actually began and then he was scared to death!

This is me and my best friend from high school at the reunion. We are still very close after 10 years!

This is another one of my closest friends. We grew up together in Stockton where our dads coached together and then ended up going to high school together in Branson!

Here is Sawyer's first experience on the trampoline at my sister's house. He LOVED it!

I had to take Sawyer to work with me one day and he had fun playing in my office!

Here are pictures from Sawyer's first Cardinals game!

I took these pictures one night while Sawyer was in one of his "cheesy" moods! :)
